Christian Liljegren, born February 3, 1971, started his musicial career at an early age. He used to sing at official parties already at the age of 7. He took singing-lessons for several years and developed the vocal technique needed to sing melodic hard rock. Christian formed his first band in 1986 together with his brother Simeon Liljegren. They were called SEVEN SEAS, after the song on the classic album "Knights Of The New Thunder" (1984) by Norwegian Band TNT. Christian sang in 4 different bands SEVEN SEAS, VENTURE, TRINITY and TRIVIAL between 1986-1989, when they formed the band BORDERLINE that lasted until 1991. BORDERLINE was a hard working unit that performed a number of liveshows. They won a rockband competition, resulting in the paid recording of a single. The single saw the light of the day in January 1990 and featured a Swedish A-side "Fri" means free in English and an English B-side "Calling". BORDERLINE was very influenced by bands like EUROPE, PRETTY MAIDS, GLORY, MADISON and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. A year after the first release the bands second single came out, featuring A-side "Can't Live Without Your Love" and B-side "Let Me Rest In Your Arms". Shortly after the band broke up due to studies and differencies in musical direction. The B-side of the single "Let Me Rest In Your Arms" is featured as a bonus track on the NARNIA's debutalbum. Both BORDERLINE singles are now considered rare collectors-items. BORDERLINE guitarist Stefan Selvander and keyboard-player Richard Eriksson have also contributed to the song-writing on NARNIA's debut. Simeon Liljegren, bass-player in BORDERLINE and later also in MODEST ATTRACTION, has contributed the bonus-track.

In the fall of 1991 Christian Liljegren, Simeon Liljegren, Stefan Selvander and Mick Nordström (Leviticus, XT) formed MODEST ATTRACTION. This band plays 70's hard rock, influenced by bands like URIAH HEEP, THE SWEET, DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW. The band released their debut "The Truth In Your Face", in February 1994. Two years later it was time for the follow-up, "Divine Luxury" and the band played quite extensively live. Selvander was soon replaced by Stephan Mohlin, but as he decided he wanted to spend more time with his family he left in March 1996. His replacement was 19 year old guitar-wizard Carljohan Grimmark. The new line-up performed a German tour only one month after Carljohan's arrivial. They also supported Glenn Hughes and URIAH HEEP in Sweden.

NARNIA was formed in 1996 by singer Christian Liljegren and guitarist Carljohan Grimmark. They met for the first time in 1993 and realised they shared the same passion for neo-classical hard rock. Although MODEST ATTRACTION still exist, NARNIA is the number one band for CHRISTIAN and Carljohan, playing the style they've always longed for. Neo-classical, melodic hard rock a´la Yngwie J Malmsteen, Rainbow, EUROPE, PRETTY MAIDS and ROYAL HUNT, Christian's favourite bands. His vocal influences include names like Joey Tempest, Ronnie James Dio, David Byron and Brian Connolly.
